Following ten months of rigorous process definition and implementation, Zolon was appraised at SEI CMMI ML3 on December 30th , 2006, by lead appraiser Mr. Karthik Padmanabhan. Zolon believes in creating world-class infrastructure and processes for producing repeatable performance. For this endeavor, Zolon's senior management gained the help of a knowledge partner team, who conducted gap analysis in Feb 2006; a Zolon team was organized immediately to fill in the gaps identified.

The Zolon process team, led by Mr. Manish Dadhich, worked diligently to produce processes compliant with SEI CMMI methodology. The processes were found to be compliant with SEI CMMI ML3 criteria and Zolon was given approval for their implementation within projects in August 2006. The process team at Zolon put in great effort to implement the processes in all three identified projects and completed two implementation review audits and one internal review audit successfully to start SCAMPI A appraisal.

The SCAMPI A process started in early December and ended with four days of methodically scrutinizing implementation. In the end, Mr. Karthik Padmanabhan and the Appraisal team members (Mr. Manish Dadhich, Mr. Venkata Ramana, Mr. Anjani Kumar, Mr. Venkateshwar Rao) unanimously decided to appraise Zolon at CMMI ML3.
