Zolon offers comprehensive coverage and in-depth expertise in providing comprehensive IT Strategic Services. Our highly experienced analysts devise strategies for improving the performance of public and private sector organizations by performing gap analysis of ‘current state’, meaning how business is actually accomplished, and ‘preferred state’, or how the organization wants it to be accomplished in the face of increasing mission objectives and decreasing financial resources. We canvas overlapping programs, uncoordinated resource allocations, and lack of management visibility which can only lead to wasted resources and perceptions of mismanagement and offer viable, cost conscious alternatives. Our specific services include the ‘3P’s’ of strategic services - Portfolio Management, Program Management, and Project Management - CIO Strategy Services, Enterprise Architecture Assessment, Gap Analysis, and Roadmaps and Emerging Technology Impact and Opportunity Assessment (eg: SOA, Virtualization, Grid Computing, Web 2.0, etc). Portfolio Management  
   
For our clients who are faced with the challenge of determining a more efficient and effective method for managing a department, division, or even an entire organization, our consultants, led by a CTGO initiated IT investment strategy plan, will implement a Portfolio Management solution to compare each project on multiple levels to identify which projects are too costly, too risky, ineffective, or failing. Alongside the client, we will then perform case by case analysis of the entire portfolio and, through better-informed and factor backed decisions, determine which projects to cut, how to re-appropriate funds, and how to decrease costs while maximizing results.  
   
Program and Project Management (PM)  
   
Our Program/Project Management services are designed to ensure maximum performance and total accountability throughout the life of the programs and projects. Our services combine on-site management through a highly effective Project Management Office (PMO) and oversight by our Senior Management Team. We base our PM services on our SEI CMMI Level 3 processes and procedures augmented by our ISO QA processes. Our PM resources design and implement customer-focused management plans and schedules and monitor and control them to support evolving project priorities. We manage our projects within a client-approved SDLC framework and an Earned Value Management (EVM) Process that complies with ANSI/EIA Standard 748 throughout the planning, implementation, and delivery phases. Process Refinement & Optimization - Our consultants assist our clients in reaching new levels of maturity and optimizing critical processes. We partner with clients to streamline operations and drive results through more efficient use of resources – people, tools, time, and money. Our business process analysis and improvement capabilities develop background research, relevant assumptions and conditions, alternative courses of action, and recommendations across a broad range of issues facing public and private sector managers. We develop assessments that produce actionable recommendations that can bring immediate value to on-going and planned activities. Our staff of experts has extensive experience in many respected process improvement methodologies, including SEI CMMI, Six Sigma, Lean, and ISO 9000.  
   
Program Assessment  
   
We assess the success of our clients’ programs or initiatives and conduct investigations to pinpoint a project's status, identify goals, determine the effectiveness of current processes, recognize any problems, and ultimately, develop a plan of action to solve those problems. Program Assessment gives our clients’ baselines for their projects to prevent problems before they occur and to minimize risk.
Technology Management - We provide leadership for life cycle management, architecture management, and systems management – bridging technology and business areas of the enterprise for successful deployment, integration, and optimization. Systems Integration is the glue that holds an IT project’s diverse components together and integration projects impact multiple groups and stakeholders within an organization. This makes coordination and planning especially vital and our experts offer capable, expert technical management leadership to meet our clients’ needs when integrating hardware, software, and process-based systems. This also includes the services required to upgrade legacy technology without disrupting day-to-day business, reconciling disparate IT and workflow systems, deploying new web services or participated in a wide array of technology initiatives across industry lines.
CIO Strategy Services - We assist CIOs in their development and review of information technology (IT) strategic plans, computer security policies and procedures, corporate strategy; organizational and personnel strategies, federal laws, regulations, and statutes, e-Government policies, and national-level strategic plans.
