Zolon and Zero Trust Rethinking Security from the Ground up.

The goals and objectives of Executive Order 14028 (Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity) is to adopt security best practices, advance toward Zero Trust Architecture and focus on accelerating our movement to secure cloud services: Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). And as an organization, we have begun to centralize and streamline access to cybersecurity data to drive analytics for identifying and managing cybersecurity risks, along with investing in both technology and personnel to match these modernization goals.

In concert with NGA, we have developed and implemented a comprehensive Zero Trust security architecture that secures every device, user, application, data, and network transaction occurring both at the perimeter and/or within all network enclaves. Additionally, we supported the Zero Trust Working Group (ZTWG) meetings held weekly to track all Zero Trust project tasks, progression and milestones, engaged with key stakeholders both internal and external to the Agency and streamlined the implementation of Zero Trust, we identified points of friction, limitations, and obstacles to facilitate a more fluid deployment of a Zero Trust architecture across the NGA enterprise.
